All stakeholders involved in the ethos for learning

 

By involving all stakeholders, schools can ensure that there is continuity in behaviours for learning across all ages.

In this section a school developed a theme of ‘building learning powers’ based on the work of Guy Claxton, Professor of Learning Sciences at the University of Winchester.
This involved creating four superheroes that exhibit the values, or in this case, ‘powers’, that facilitate learning.
Below we have included some of the poster displays used around the school to reinforce the messages, along with a presentation explaining the thinking behind the project.

The video clip shows a performance by infants of a song written by the music teacher to embed these values.
